Materials: One deck of cards (or multiple decks).
Description: Students draw a card and tell a story based on the suit they draw.
* Hearts: A story about love
*Clubs (clovers): A story about luck
*Spades (shovel): A story about work
*Diamonds: A story about money
Encourage them to tell the best story they have. They can even make up a story!
I have used this for oral assesments or conversation practice.
